Effective date: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the Georgia Court Reporters Association, Inc. (“GCRA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) governing your use of the GCRA website (the “Site”).
By accessing, browsing, registering an account, becoming a member, posting in the forum, taking a continuing education course, posting a job, or otherwise using any feature of the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (/privacy/).
If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is open to anyone in the United States or abroad who is interested in the court reporting profession in Georgia. Some areas are restricted:
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
When you create an account, you agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or engage in abusive behavior.
GCRA offers several membership tiers (Participating, Student, Associate, and others as may be approved by the Board). Pricing, benefits, and eligibility for each tier are published on the Membership page (/join-us/) and may be updated by the Board.
Membership dues are charged in full at the time of purchase. Paid memberships renew automatically on the anniversary of your join date unless you cancel auto-renewal from your member dashboard. You will receive a renewal reminder by email approximately 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days before each renewal.
Membership dues are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate billing or verified billing error. Continuing education course fees are non-refundable. Donations to the Defense Fund are non-refundable.
You may close your account at any time by accessing your account information in your Dashboard on the website. Membership benefits remain active through the end of your paid term. You are not entitled to a prorated refund for the unused portion.
You may upgrade your membership tier at any time from your dashboard. The system will prorate the price difference. Downgrades take effect on your next renewal date.
The CE Library content (videos, quizzes, study materials) is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use as part of your paid membership or per course purchase. You may not download, redistribute, repost, or use the content for any commercial purpose.
Continuing education credits earned through the GCRA Library are recorded in good faith based on quiz completion and our session-tracking system. However, it remains your responsibility to submit certificates to the Georgia Board of Court Reporting through the Georgia Courts Registrar and to any other association or credentialing organization from which you are seeking continuing education credit.
The CE Library is provided for professional development purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or career advice. Always consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
By posting in the GCRA forum or community spaces, you agree to:
GCRA moderators may remove content, suspend posting privileges, or terminate accounts for violations. We reserve the right to moderate at our discretion. We do not pre-screen all posts and are not liable for user-generated content.
You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant GCRA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, and archive your post within the Site.
Employers may submit job listings via the Post a Job page (/post-a-job/). GCRA reviews each listing for relevancy and accuracy before publishing. We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing.
GCRA is not an employer or recruiter. We provide the listing platform but do not screen candidates, verify employer claims, or facilitate hiring. All hiring decisions and employment relationships are solely between the employer and the candidate.
Listings remain visible for a default period of 60 days. Renewal is at the employer’s request.
The public Court Reporter Directory at /find-a-court-reporter/ lists contact information for Georgia certified court reporters who have voluntarily opted in.
Donations to the GCRA Defense Fund or other GCRA initiatives are processed via Stripe and are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate transaction or verified billing error. GCRA is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit. Donations are not tax-deductible.
GCRA Affiliates pay a fee to be listed in the Affiliates directory. GCRA does not endorse any specific affiliate product or service. Members should evaluate each affiliate independently before purchasing.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCRA, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claim, demand, or damages (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, indemnification, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered members by email and via a prominent notice on the Site at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GCRA regarding the Site and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
